Welcome

Blackhills Specialist Dental Clinic located in Aberuthven, near Perth, brings together a team of specialists, clinicians and nurses. Each one of our team members has been carefully selected because of their skill, dedication and commitment to achieve the optimum outcome for you as our patient.

This means when you choose to have treatment at Blackhills, you will often be seen by more than one clinician, which allows us to carry out almost all treatment within Blackhills using the most up to date skills, materials, techniques and equipment.

Blackhills Specialist Dental Clinic only provides private dental treatment.

We have a comfortable patient area with hot and cold refreshments and wireless internet so you can browse or work while waiting for an appointment or a family member having treatment.  We have 3 fully equipped surgeries, a sterilisation room and a dedicated X-ray room which has a CT Scanner.  In addition we have an operating surgical microscope and can provide Intravenous Sedation for some treatments for the more complex treatments and for patients who are a nervous about having treatment carried out.

Our Dental Specialists

The General Dental Council (GDC) require that rigorous criteria are met before a dentist can call themselves a ‘specialist’.  All the clinicians at Blackhills Clinic are GDC registered and the majority of them are Specialists with many years experience in helping dentists and their patients from all over Scotland, the UK and beyond.  It is our policy to treat patients only for the problem for which they have been referred (unless other issues become apparent).  Upon completion of treatment, the patient will always be returned back to their dentist for continuing dental care.

First Visit

At the initial consultation appointment, you will be carefully examined to assess your current situation and given an idea of the treatment required together with the costs involved. After this, you may wish to have a period of time to reflect and consider what has been discussed before continuing with treatment. When you are ready to proceed, you can contact the Clinic to arrange the next appointment. Sometimes further assessments might need to be carried out to complete the final treatment plan, which could include models of your teeth, photographs, x-rays or a CT scan. Once all the necessary information has been assessed, we will provide you with a written treatment plan and estimate of costs; this explains everything which is relevant to your case. We work closely with your own dentist to help provide treatment and will ask you to return there for your future dental care. We have a large car park at the front of the clinic with disabled parking and ramp access to the building. The reception, waiting area and clinical rooms are all on the ground floor.
