What are Gum Veneers?
Gum veneers are removable prosthetic appliances designed to cover areas of gum recession or tissue loss, improving the appearance of the smile. They are typically made from flexible acrylic or silicone materials and are custom-crafted to match the patient’s natural gum color and contour.
Gum veneers are often used when surgical gum grafting is not suitable or when recession is extensive, helping to conceal exposed tooth roots, dark gaps between teeth, or uneven gum lines.
Gum recession can occur at one or several teeth in the mouth and this gives the appearance of “longer in the tooth” and “black triangles” appearing in between the teeth, which can look unsightly.

Using a digital scan and impression the dentist takes detailed measurements of your teeth and gums. This information is sent to a trusted dental laboratory for your custom-fitted veneer to be fabricated.
Gum Veneer Permanent
When your custom-made gum veneer is ready, your dentits will carefully place it over your gums. The will check the fit and comfort, and make any adjustments required, before placing.
Final Review
During your final review, your dentist will examine the gum veneer to check it is secure and comfortable. You will also be provided with aftercare instrustions and learn how to insert and remove the veneer if required.
