Blackhills Clinic is currently sponsoring two Elite International Athletes representing Great Britain in the “Pas de Deux” at the Senior European Championships for Equestrian Vaulting in Austria this month.
Molly Turner and Hannah Ballantyne are currently Scottish Champions and are also both still at university making training and competing very difficult and expensive (overseas horse transportation required!)
The fantastic news is that after 2 days of competition, Molly and Hannah finished 8th overall – absolutely brilliant!!! This is their first European Championships and they were competing against much more experienced athletes. Well done girls!!!
Equestrian Vaulting is a combination of gymnastics and dance carried out on the back of a cantering horse. The sport involves a blend of fitness, strength and balance to interpret musical themes and perform unique freestyle moves. The “Pas de Deux” involves two competitors being on the horse at the same time performing moves to their chosen musical theme.
