Veneers
Veneers are thin porcelain covers placed on the front of teeth. They are used to change colour, shape and appearance of teeth. Veneers require fairly minimal preparation of the front surface of your tooth.
Treatment:
- At the first visit the tooth/teeth are prepared and impressions (moulds) taken together with the colour and bite an then sent to the Dental Laboratory where a master technician makes the veneers
- At the nest visit, the veneer is tried in. The fit, appearance and bite are all checked, if everything is ok, veneers are fitted with dental cement. If not it is sent back to laboratory for changes to be made. This will then be fitted at next visit. It may take several visits to get appearance correct.
- A review appointment may be required to reassess bite and to make sure no excess cement which can cause problems with gum health.
